The Club normally meets monthly on a Thursday at 2.00pm in the Conference Room, Level 7, unless otherwise stated.
 
Membership of the club costs £12 per annum.
Members must also join the 3Ls Students' Association for which the annual fee is £10

HISTORIC GLASGOW

Ranald MacInnes is head of Heritage Management for Historic Scotland.

He has kindly agreed to give us a talk on the history of our "Dear Green Place"

Optional extra   REID BUILDING TOUR AT GLASGOW SCHOOL OF ART
We have organised a special private outing to this unique award winning new building designed by Steven Holl Architects.
This tour is extra to our regular programme and will cost £5.50.

 GLASGOW REGENERATION

LizDavidson OBE, until recently Principal of City of Design in Glasgow, will tell us about the latest developments in regeneration in the city.


11th December

CHRISTMAS GET-TOGETHER

This year our Christmas get-together will upstairs at Babbity Bowster in Blackfriars St, Merchant City where you will have a chance to mingle over a glass of wine, mincepies and Xmas cake.

Our host,Frazer Laurie, will welcome us with a short talk about this historic building.

A charge of £7 will be made towards the cost.

    A SENSE OF PLACE.....Working in Glasgow. 

Karen Anderson, Chair of Architecture and Design Scotland and founding partner of Anderson, Bell Christie, Architects will talk about her present role in ( A&DS) as well as her experience working as an architect in Glasgow

LOOK UP GLASGOW

Adrian Searle, author and journalist, has kindly agreed to talk on his book "Look Up Glasgow" which is a bringing together of those hidden gems of Glasgow not always noticed in today's rush
12th March
VISIT TO THE "GLASGOW HOUSE"
Conducted tour of two semi-detached prototype blocks built by City Building to demonstrate how innovative fuel-efficient house can reduce Glasgow's carbon footprint.    
Meet at 1.45pm Bridge St subway. Houses located in Norfolk Square served by First Bus 3,4,6,38 &57and Stagecoach 4



9th April

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING -
      followed by a talk from Karin Spalter Currie President of the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Rts on Future Prospects for the McLellan Galleries.
14th May 
SUMMER OUTING
                A visit to the National Mining Museum of Scotland, housed in the former Lady Victoria Colliery, Newtongrange.
A more detailed programme to follow at a later date.
